Delphine Lebourgeois (b. 1976), a graduate from Ecole Nationale des Beaux-Arts de Lyon, and from Central St Martins, has been working in London as an Artist and illustrator for more than ten years.  Intuitive and fuelled with romantic visions, Lebourgeois's images are collages in their making as well as in the way the ideas are built: incongruous elements play with each other and grow organically into a beautiful, and surreal universe.

Delphine Lebourgeois was the winner of the Images 29 Critics Award. She was also nominated by public vote for the Club Monaco Emerging Artist Award in November 2011. Her work is shown internationally at Art Fairs in the UK, USA, Hong Kong and Singapore and is attracting a strong collector base.

Delphine Lebourgeois' latest limited edition print The Inner Child recently launched at The Other Art Fair to great reception and was shown at Christies Multiplied. This large piece is a progression from her earlier Army print, with intricate headdresses and strong women – this time brandishing guns. The drawing techniques Delphine has used of overlaying each person is also seen in her other works and shows her fascination with groups – working together to either protect or threaten. In this piece, the Artist is expressing the need to protect the ‘inner child’ in order to be free to create, unbound by any exterior forces. These women are intertwined to do just that.

The Inner Child is a Signed & numbered museum quality Giclée on 310gsm Hahnemuhle photorag paper

Limited edition of 20 - released in 2014.

This powerful limited edition print by Delphine Lebourgeois is a reflection of the need for the Artist to find a protected free space in order to create. These exotic women with elaborate robes and poisionous flowers in their headdresses, brandishing guns to an unknown force are protecting 'The Inner Child' - a space where the stresses and constraints of everyday life have no room to impact on the freedom of creativity, giving the Artist space to be free.

Released in Autumn 2014 as an edition of only 20, over half of the edition is now sold as of July 2015
